PLEASE DO SOMETHING GOOD FOR THE FERAL CATS AT JFK

Dear Susan Baer,
General Manager, JFK Airport:

Please do anything that it's in your power to not permit the extermination of Feral Cats. Meet with NYC Feral Cat Initiative representatives and come up with a plan to manage the JFK cats. One of the solutions can be to spay and neuter these animals to avoid the proliferation. At least by controlling the natality of these cats the problem will be contained. Another
solution could be seeking out a sanctuary that is willing to take them.
It seems that they are wild animals and it's harder to confine them to houses. From what I read, one member
of of the staff airport, Mr. DiFulco, says that: "... 50 to 75 cats had converged in a parking lot near Building 67, part of the Delta Air Lines cargo area and it’s creating a hazard for the aircraft". If that is the case there must be a solution besides killing these animals that have been in this area for years. Killing animals should not be the solution because these animals are part of nature and we souldn't interfere with it. I believe that if these cats are causing problems to humans, you Miss Baer and other
members of the JFK should solve it. You are the ones capable of coming up with a solution that lets these animals be wild how nature intented them to be.

THE CRUEL BUSINESS OF GUARD DOGS - EL CRUEL NEGOCIO DE LOS PERROS GUARDIANES

Even though people in some cultures have consideration for dogs, it's incredible how you can see that in the same culture these animals don't receive any care, love or respect.
Dogs in this country and probably in a lot of others, are used and abused by people for their economical benefit. Such is the case of the "GUARDIAN DOGS". This business is based in the idea of getting money from people who want their places (lots, garages, houses) to be protected by intruders. But the unconsidered part of this business is that they treat these animals as things, as if they didn't suffer any kind of abuse such as lack of vet services, food, water, attention, love, etc. These companies get the dogs from the streets, shelters (because they are about to die) and/or from people who want some money for the trade.
It's another way of how people exploit the animals.

Please do something useful for these dogs that are victims of the wrong use of human power and visit:

Aunque algunas personas en ciertas culturas tienen consideraciones por los perros, es increíble como, al mismo tiempo, se puede apreciar que estos mismos animales no reciben ningún cuidado, amor o respeto.
Los perros en este país y problamente en muchos otros, son usados y abusados por gente para su propio beneficio económico. Tal es el caso de los perros llamados guardianes. Este negocio gana dinero ofreciendo el servicio (alquiler) de perros guardianes para custodiar la propiedad privada (terrenos, garajes, casas). Pero la desconsideración por parte de estas compañías y por parte de quienes alquilan a los perros, es que estos animales son tratados como si no padecieran tantos abusos, como la falta de servicios veterinarios, de agua, de comida, de atención, de amor, etc. Estas compañías agarran a los perros de las calles, de los refugios (porque eventualemente morirán) y/o de la gente que quiere ganar dinero fácil.
Esta es otra manera de cómo la gente usa, abusa, explota y maltrata a los animales.

Por favor hagan algo al respecto. Cualquier abuso, abandono que vean no se queden de brazos cruzados. Hagan algo por estos animales que son víctimas del mal uso del poder humano y visiten:
